We collect the email address you sign up with, your encrypted files and their metadata (name, size, folder), basic billing records when you subscribe to a paid plan, and files you process using our free online tools (see section 4).
We use your information to provide the Service: to authenticate you, store and serve your files, enforce storage quotas, and process subscription payments through PayMongo.
Files are sealed with AES-256-GCM encryption before being written to disk and are served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your data is continuously replicated across independent storage tiers to protect against hardware failure.
We offer free online tools at scendrive.com/tools (such as the PDF editor, image compressor, and converters) that do not require an account. When you use these tools, the files you process are uploaded to and saved on our servers, where we keep a backup copy so that you can retrieve them again in the future and so we can operate, secure, and improve the tools. These backups are stored together with basic technical details such as the date and the IP address used. You may request deletion of your tool files at any time by contacting us. Please do not use the free tools for files you are not permitted to store with a third-party service.
Card and e-wallet payments are processed by PayMongo. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
We do not sell your personal data. We only disclose information when required by law or to protect the Service and its users.
You can delete files at any time and request account deletion by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your files from our active systems. You may also request deletion of any files processed through our free online tools.
